| What is seated massage? During a session, the client is seated in a specialized chair, fully dressed. The massage therapist will probably use a variety of techniques including compressions, trigger-point, tapotement (tapping), squeezing, and shiatsu (various therapists differ in style). The result is a very happy, relaxed, and rejuvenated recipient. Chair massage lengths can range anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes and generally covers the neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands.
